As in previous years this year too Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar s Jayanti was celebrated at the Impact Girls Education Centers operated by the Uttar Pradesh Vanvasi Seva Sansthan across 65 villages. During these celebrations certificates were distributed to 600 women under the Maternal Education Program at the 20 Girls Education Centers supported by the Titan Company. The women s faces lit up with joy upon receiving these certificates; additionally certificates were also distributed to women at the 45 centers supported by Indus Towers. On this occasion, the Uttar Pradesh Vanvasi Seva Sansthan organized special programs at the Girls Education Centers centered around the theme: Education is the Path to Liberation.
During the event Pushpendra Singh the Project In-charge of the Girls Education Centers delivered a message of Educate Agitate, Organize. He explained that Dr. Ambedkar firmly believed that education is the single most important key to the socio-economic upliftment of Dalits the underprivileged, and backward classes. Dr. Ambedkar had famously stated: Educate Organize Agitate. In addition to being the chief architect of the Indian Constitution he held a Ph.D. in Economics and qualified as a Barrister-at-Law.
Emphasizing the importance of girls education, Pushpendra Singh noted that Dr. Ambedkar always prioritized the education of girls. Dr. Ambedkar s philosophy was I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which that community s women have achieved.
Project Secretary Amit Kumar remarked that Baba Saheb s life serves as a testament to the fact that education is not merely about acquiring degrees but constitutes the most potent weapon against injustice. It is largely due to his tireless efforts that the Right to Education is today enshrined as one of the Fundamental Rights within the Constitution. To mark this Jayanti teachers across all 65 Girls Education Centers celebrated with great enthusiasm they organized rallies within their respective villages to raise public awareness regarding the importance of girls education. Supervisors Asif Ali Anil Kumar Vikas Jaiswal, and Neha Tiwari along with Accountant Ashna were present during these celebrations.
