Vanvasi Seva Sansthan is a state level voluntary organization constituted on
15th August 1980 by the inspiration of the ideal life and thoughts of Thakkar
Bapa in the field of social work. It is founded by well known social and
sarvodaya workers of the state like Sri Triveni Prasad, Harinarayan Bhai, Smt.
Pramila Srivastawa and Shri Ajay Kumar Chaubey to work for removal of deep
rooted poverty, welfare and development of forest dweller's (Tribal and down
troden vanvasi people) through social services. In formation of the
"SANSTHAN" they got active participation of other eminent state and
national level social workers and leaders. The First President of the
"SANSTHAN" was Smt. Pramila Srivastava a dedicated social workers,
former member of state social wel-fare advisory Board and chairman of U.P.
Control Board, Lucknow, who continued as President till her death. Later on the
Presidentship of the "SANSTHAN" was bestowed on Shri Samim Siddiqui a
national level eminent social worker who rendered his valuable contibution and
dedicated services for the benifit of the last man of the tribal communities
and the marginal society till his death. At present a very dedicated and
experienced social worker Smt. Pushpa Devi has elected as President of the
organization who whole heartedly working for the women empowerment, child
welfare, to save the women from domestic voilence, and tribal/rural development
till date.
The "SANSTHAN"
was registered in 1983 under societies regis-tration act 21 of 1860 at state
capital Lucknow (U.P.) for the total development and welfare work for forest
dwelling people(vanvasi) to bring them in the main stream of national life as
equal citizens. The organization is also registered by khadi & village
industries, commission Bombay to run village industries for economic
development of rural areas and to make more effective and extensive social
work. It is registered under FCRA by ministry of Home affairs, Govt. of India,
New Delhi too.
The main target of the
organization is the upliftment of the last man/ Women youth and adolescent
girls of the society to run various activities as per the problems and needs of
the boarder, interior and dense forest covered areas of tribal and rural
popula-tion.
AIMS & OBJECTS:-
To work for the communities primarily tribals, scheduled castes and weaker sections of the society by promoting their social, cultural, educational and economic development and also to safeguard their constitutional rights with a view to enable them to take their legitimate share in the national life of the country, as equal citizens.
VISION:-
'SANSTHAN' is committed for the social, educational and
economic upliftment of marginalized deprived community ,disable and other
downtrodden man/women youth adolescent girl of the society through education,
welfare services and capacity building to enable them for their right, self
stand and entitlement.
Mission:-
Ensuring the educational and socio economic development of
the last men and women (weaker section) small and marginal farmers, deprived
destitute and helpless women and children youth girls towards their rights and livelihood with the
help of various activities specially Residential girls school, welfare services
for 0-6 years children like ??Model Cr?che?
Farmers club , Self help Groups, learning Centers(6-14 year girls
through Quality education) for men and women and health and income generation
programme through rights and livelihood
based and remedial approaches.
Organizational Structure:-

Seva Sansthan have its managing committee of 11 members who has elected from
its General Council. Managing committee meets once in three months and takes
all decision to run the organization.
