Educational Activities:-
1. Pujya Thakkar Bapa Sikshan Sala(Primary school):-
Pujya Thakkar Bapa Sikshan Shala- a Primary school (I-Vth classes) was established in 2001 in very interior tribal village Gobraula Distt. Lakhimpur-Kheri (U.P.). It has permanent recognization by Deptt. of educa-tion Govt. of U.P.. The school building is constructed on its own land. The expenses to run the school met out by the organization by public contribution.
During the year 75 tribal girls and boys studied in the school from one to fifth classes. The students were provided quality education with high moral values by trained and experienced teachers. The result was hun-dred percent in which 21 students were passed class Vth with good numbers and promoted for class VIth.
2.Pujya Thakkar Bapa Residential Tribal Girls School (Secondary Level):-
Residential girls school was established in very interior tribal village at: Gobraula P.O. Dhyanpur, Teh: Palia Kalan, Distt. Lakhimpur- Kheri (U.P.) in the year 2003 for the social and educational development of tribal girls. To see the low female literacy rate 11% in the area it was very essential to open such institution for women empowerment and inspiration. The 90% of the sanctioned grant has been provided by the ministry of tribal affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi as grant-in-aid year to year basis.
During the year 2023-24 the residential school has 100 tribal girls students to whom the UPVSS has provided free lodging, boarding, health care, Books & stationary, clothings (3set uniforms) Bed Bedding, Proper care, Study & guidence, Sanskar and School educational facilities in neat and clean invironment by trained and experienced teachers. The result of the school was 100 percent. 33 girls students has passed class VIIIth and joined class IX. 33 girls students has been admitted in class VIth during the reporting year.
3.Girls Hostel for Higher Education:-
The girls hostel was opened in 2001 at Thakkar Bapa Seva Ashram, Gobraulla, Palia Kalan, Distt. Kheri for providing proper care, guidence to tribal girls for the promotion of higher education to those who are helpless, poor and resourceless. They come from the interior areas of dense forest villages where no any facilities are available. We are conducting the programme from our own resources and public contribution.
In the year 2023-24 we have admitted 100 girl students from 9th to Intermediate & Degree classes and provided them free lodging, health care, study and guidance, proper care, water and electricity, moral education for maintaining values, sanskar and inspiration for furthering their education to achieve the goal. It is proud for the institution that more than 600 students who studied to stay in the hostel are in the Govt. Services as in secreterial services, CRPF, District administration, Chakbandi Deptt., Social welfare deptt., Education deptt., SSB, Deptt. of rural development and so many other Govt. Deptts.
4. Building construction of Girls Hostel :-
Matushri Kashiba HariBhai Goti Charitable Trust, Surat, Gujrat has constructed double storied building in measurement 100"x30"=3000"ft. for the Tribal Girls Hostel at Gobraulla, Chandanchowki-Kheri(U.P.) during the year 2023-24. UPVSS is very greatful to the trust for their kind assisstance and noble charity work for the promotion of the Education in tribal girls. The students of the girls hostel are very please for nice staying and good manage-ment for the study in the hostel. Now more than 100 tribal girl students are staying in the hostel for furthering their studies in good environment.
5. Library & Reading room:-
The organization has changed their policy and spreaded the activities of Library at village level to encrease the knowledge of Primary schools students for strong foundation from childhood to class Vth. 60 Libraries and Reading rooms are started in 60 villages, where more than 200 books of stories in history, science, Desh Bhakti and others are available to which 3500 students are being benifitted. The community managing commit-tee (CMC) of the village people are running the activities very satisfactory. The work is being appreciated by villagers as well as the others.
6. Girls Child Education Programme:-
The villages or hemlets who have no primary schools or far away from the primary schools, the institution has started 65 girls child education centres in the villages for drop out girls, irregular school going girls and the girls who have never joined the school. Under the Partnership of "IIMPACT" Gurugram, Haryana the UPVSS has completed the survey work in the selected villages. After survey of the villages and identifying the girls child benificiaries the institution has organised an interview for selecting the teachers. After selecting the female 25 teachers we have started 25 Girls child education centres in far flung areas from 1st April 2016 and added 40 new centres in another surveyed villages from 1st Feb. 2020.
The IIMPACT and UPVSS organised training of teach-ers during the first month of every quarter to train them for quality education and to setup goal for studing the lessons during the three months. At the end of the quarter the institution evaluate the knowledge of the beneficiaries. The instructors are very trained and sincere about the methods of quality educa-tion. Now 1950 Girls child are studying in 65 selected villages. The all benificiaries and their parents are very happy to see the progress of their children and participating in the programme with full of enthusiasm. The various educational kits, Books, T.L.M. & mobile library are available at each centre.
The 25 girl child education centres are completed their 5 years tennure in which 439 girls are mainstreamed and promoted to class 6th and above to continue their further education. Now the organization has sur-veyed the new girls to restart the centres after approval of our partner organi-sation "IIMPACT", Gurugram, Haryana and 25 centres has re-started in same location again. The work of quality education is running with best per-
formance through 65 GCECs.
As per policy of partner organization IIMPACT, UPVSS has started AARAMBH MANCH for walfare and creating awareness to-wards the changes in adolescent age in all 65 Girl Child Education Centres. Total No. of adolescent girls/Alumni of the centres are 975. Unicef is sup-porting the centres for providing Iron tablets to fulfill the blood deficiancies, Sanitary napkins and dewarming tablets to all girl child of the centres. The Teachers and Supervisors of the centres arrange meeting of the adolescent girls of AARAMBH MANCH twice in the quarter under the guidence of ANM, Asha & Aanganbari workers to creat awareness regarding life skill, health & hygeine protection and sanitation etc.
Under IIMPACT and UPVSS partnership the GCEP has started MOTHER LITERACY Programme at 20 Girl Child Edu-cation Centres as trial basis. The basic knowledge of reading, writing & coutning for her day to day life and promotion of literacy are conducted through various TLM and litracy kits. Total no. of 595 Mothers have been literate in basic knowledge through the programme. The programme was very succesfully achieved 100 percent target of Mother Literacy program
Welfare programmes:-
1. Drug deadiction campaign:-
The organization has organised 22 drug de adiction campaign in 22 interior and backward areas of the Distt. Lahimpur, Bahraich, Shrawasti, Pilibhit, Kanpur and Sitapur, where the liquor and other durgs conjumption are on large scale which are damaging to individual and families socially and ecnomacally. The people has taken oath for not drinking the liquor and taking other drugs which are hazardous for health. The campaign has created awareness on mass scale in the people of the area. The organisation also helped the people to apply in Widow and Old aged pension, Kanyasumangala yojna and C.M. and P.M. Awas Yojna. More than 21300 persons have been benifitted in 40 village punchayats by organising the camps during the year 2023-24.
Economic Upliftment Activities:-
1. Running & Strengthening the Self Help Group Programme:-
The Project of SHG was funded by National Bank for Agricultral and rural development (NABARD) and conducted by the organization. To eradicate the "MAHAJANI PRATHA" (Sahukari) from tribal and other back-ward areas the organization formed 50 self help groups at first stage and completed saving and credit linkage by Bank. The project is inspired the whole areas and eradicate "MAHAJANI PRATHA". In the second phase the organization formed 100 self help groups in rural and tribal villages and completed credit & saving linkage with near by banks. This programme has brought happy life of the group members and their families.
The organization has implemented SHG formation & linkage Project in four blocks of Distt. Lakhimpur-Kheri (U.P.). We have formed 202 SHG, out of which We achieved saving linkage of 110 SHG and 64 credit linkage by banks. The groups made transactions from their CCLA/cs and distributed to their members for agriculture, Business, employment and other income generation purposes. The SHG programme has developed the good habbit of small savings in men and women to impower them for developing future.
The SHG programme of the organisation is based with the savings of its members and bank linkage. It is a self sustained programme working with the help of local banks. The maximum No. of members are working with their own small and medium enterprises like-: To produce and sale pickles, Murabba, Tailoring items, Handicrafts, Carpets, Yogamats and other manufacturing works.
2. Skill Development in Training Programme:-
The organisation has conducted Mobile Repair Training Pro-gramme to receive the financial assisstance from Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB) Gadaniya, Kheri under Skill Development Training Programme during the year 2023-24. The no. of 30 youth participants have been trained under this pro-gramme for self employment and self reliant. After training the trained youth has started their own mobile repairing shop as their own business for earning their livelihood. The training was conducted at SSB 39Bt. Sumernagar post under Citizen's Welfare Programme of SSB.
Out of the new programme UPVSS old Tribal Handicraft train-ing progrmme is also running to stablish their small and medium interprises for producing tribal handicrafts: Daries, Mats, Pickels & Murabbla etc. has trained 270 unemlpoyed youths to start their own business.
3. Farmers Club:-
Mainly the livelihood of village is depend on farming or agriculture. The farmers are backbone of the society as well as whole of the country. But the farmers adopted the methods of farming are oldage pattern. They are unknown about the new scientific research and modern techniques of agriculture.
During the year 2023-24 UPVSS has conducted aware-ness generation progrmme for sciencetific farming and meet with experts for valuable suggetions of modern farming for producing more and more yeild of crops. The organization has organised a 3 days (27 Dec.2023 to 29 Dec.2023) CAT visit programme of farmers at G..B. Pant University for Ag-riculture & Technology, Pantnagar, U.K. from the financial assistance of NABARD RO Lucknow, U.P, where the 30 farmers of the club has attanded three days training programme in multi crops farming. After training the farm-ers used the techniques of sciencetific farming and growing just double yield from the various crops.
It is a self sustained activities based on the farmers coopration and bank assistance. Farmers Club helped to Banks for recovery of loans of Kisan Credit Card and others related with farming sector.
4. Tailoring Training Programme
The Organization has conducted several training for Sew-ing, Cutting and Embroydary Training for the rural and tribal villages of Palia Kalan block, Distt Kheri from the assistance of ITDP ChandanChowki in which most of the trained beneficiares are got employement and some of them has started their own work to earn money for livelihood.
Now the Organisation has started their own training school without any aid at Pujya Thakkar Bapa Seva Ashram, Palia Kalan, Kheri, U.P. Which is affiliated with "Usha International Ltd. Lucknow". There are nine Diploma courses available as cutting & Stiching, Embroydary, Creative Sewing and Hobby Courses with UPVSS Sewing school, Palia Kalan Kheri U.P. During the Year 2023-24 there are 60 Women/girls benificiaries has been trained. The Sewing school is running very successfully and achieving their goals to serve poor girls and women for self relient.41
5. Rural Mart:-
Rural Mart was established on 8th March 2020 by Arati Self Help Group formed by UPVSS for financial and marketting support to the members of SHGs and Farmers Club. Rular Mart is a sell and marketting centre of the SHG members and farmers for their products. It is running from the financial support (for two years) of NABARD R.O. Lucknow under guidance of UPVSS.
The products of fifteen Self Help Groups interprises are sup-plied to Rural Mart for sale during the year 2023-24. Rural Mart has done good business having turn over of Rs. 6 Lakhs near about. The benefits of rural mart goes to the members of self help groups through purchasing of their products. It is encouraging and supporting the members of self help groups to earn benefits from small and medium enterprises.
D. Relief work in natural clamity:-
The Volunteers of the ogranization are always ready to help the people from any natural calamities like: draught, fire & flood etc. The rural areas of Lakhimpur-Kheri, Bahraich, Pilibhit, Shrawasti and Sitapur districts has grass made Kachha homes which always effects from fire in summer seasons. The several big rivers like Sharda, Ghagra etc. are exist-ing sorounding the above said districts which caused flood for the people of the near by villages of the districts.
During the year 2023-24 the volunteers has conducted cam-paign as relief work to help the fire and flood effected people. The families of 40 villages of Lakhimpur-Kheri, Behraich, Pilibhit & Sravasti Distt. has been benifitted through relief work as food, clothes & medicines etc. pro-vided to them.
